What is an affiliate site?
BetSmart is an affiliate site. That means we earn a commission when readers register at a betting operator through one of our links and place a qualifying deposit or wager. The commission is paid by the operator — not by you. Registering through our links never costs you anything extra and never affects the bonus you receive.
How rankings are determined
Our rankings are determined by our editorial scoring methodology, published in full at How We Rate. Each operator is scored across six weighted criteria: licensing & safety (25%), payment speed (20%), product depth (20%), bonus value (15%), mobile experience (10%), and customer support (10%).
Commission rates do not influence rankings. Where two operators score within 0.1 of each other, we pick the one we'd recommend to a family member — not the one paying us more.
Commercial relationships
We hold commercial affiliate relationships with most operators on this site. We do not have an exclusive relationship with any single operator. We do not accept payment for placement, and we will not remove a negative review in exchange for a higher commission rate.
If you have a complaint about a ranked operator
Please email us at editorial@betsmart.co.ke. We aggregate reader feedback into the next quarter's review cycle. If a pattern of complaints emerges about an operator we recommend, that operator's score will be adjusted.
Regulatory disclosure
BetSmart is an independent affiliate website. We are not a betting operator and we do not accept bets. All wagering takes place on the operator sites we link to. Each linked operator is responsible for its own compliance with the Kenyan Gambling Control Act and Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA) requirements. We flag any operators on this site that operate under offshore licences rather than GRA licences.
